Instructions for replacing the foam gasket on the vacuum tank lid with the silicone gasket (RK-G090).
Tools Needed:
- Screwdriver or similar flat object
- Silicone sealant
Step 1: Remove the clear plastic lid. Use a flathead screwdriver or other similar flat object to pry off the old foam gasket. You should be able to remove it by hand after getting it started.
Scrape off all leftover adhesive.
Step 2: Apply a 1/8" bead of silicone to the outer rim of the channel where the foam gasket was.
Step 3: Clean off any dust from the replacement gasket (RK-G090) using a damp rag. Press the gasket firmly into the channel and wipe off any excess silicone.
Let silicone set according to silicone manufacturer's specifications, before replacing the clear lid.
