The following directions are for replacing a leaking diaphragm in C305, C323D, or C322D diaphragm pumps.

Tools Needed:

  • Large Phillips screwdriver
  • Small Phillips screwdriver
  • Flathead screwdriver (optional)
  • Replacement diaphragm

Step 1.

Locate the pump inside the base of the machine

Step 2.

Use the large Philips screwdriver to undo the three screws attaching the pump to the base of the machine so the pump can be repositioned to allow better access to the switch. Set screws aside.

Step 3.

Use the small Phillips to undo the four screws securing the pump switch to the rest of the pump. There is no need to disconnect the wires from the switch. Set screws aside. Use caution during this step, the pump switch has a spring inside that may come loose when you remove the final screw, take care to not lose any internal components if that happens.

Step 4.

Remove the old diaphragm. Use a flathead screwdriver or similar tool to lift it out of its seat if necessary.

Step 5.

Replace the new diaphragm in the same position.

Step 6.

Reattach the switch using the same 4 screws. Make sure this is secure and the wires are still snug to the terminals.

Step 7.

Reattach the pump to the base of the extractor using the same screws as before. Close the machine and ensure hoses do not kink while you close it up.
