This procedure removes the AH156 hoses from the Mytee Hot Turbo and re-plumbs the unit to use quick connect fittings.

Required tools and hardware:

• 3x B259A female quick connect fittings

• 3x B260A male quick connect fittings

• 1x B130 street elbow

• 1x B142 coupling

• 1x #3 screwdriver

• 2x 3/4" wrenches

• 1x 11/16" wrench

• 1x 9/16" wrench

• 1x 7/16" wrench

• 1x 13mm wrench

• 1x socket wrench with 7/16" socket

• 1x wire brush

• Teflon tape

• Scissors, shears, or knife

Step 1: Remove the lid via the four screws around the edge with a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 2: Remove the foam insulation laying on top of the heaters.

Step 3: Disconnect the inlet and outlet fittings from the faceplate using two ¾” wrenches.

Step 4: Remove the retaining bracket using 7/16” combo wrench on the bracket end and 7/16” socket for the bolt on the bottom of the unit.

Step 5: Rotate the heater set at the front of the unit upright so the thermostats and wires ate at the top. Disconnect the AH184 hose from the B103 brass elbow using two 11/16” wrenches.

Step 6: Remove the thermostats and ground wire from the heater castings on the front set of heaters using a #3 Phillips screwdriver. Pull the heater rods out of the castings. Leave the thermostats and heater rods connected to the switches.

Step 7: Repeat step 6 with the rear heater set.

Step 8: Remove the heater sets from the unit. Cut the zip ties holding them together.

Step 9: Remove all the hoses and brass fittings from all heater castings. Set the hoses and brass fittings aside to be re-used later. You’ll need the following size wrenches for removal:

• 3/4”

• 11/16”

• 13mm

Step 10: Clean old Teflon tape off of the heater casting threads. You can use a wire brush for this. Replace with new Teflon tape.

Step 11: Clean old Teflon off of the brass elbows as these will be re-used. Apply new Teflon tape to male ends to the elbows as well as the new quick connect fittings.

Step 12: Thread a B260A male quick connect fitting into a B207 elbow and tighten. Do this twice. Next thread a B259A female quick connect fitting into a B103 street elbow. Do this twice as well.

Step 13: Install the brass fittings on the open side of the heater castings as shown (male end of the quick connect on the left, female on the right). Use 13mm and 11/16” wrenches.

Step 14: Apply Teflon tape onto the threads of another B260A fitting. Thread into B142 coupler and tighten with 9/16” wrench.

Step 15: Thread the assembled B260A and B142 onto the heater casting at the top left as shown in the image. Use 13mm and ¾” wrenches.

Step 16: Thread a B259A fitting onto the other heater set at the top right location and tighten with 13mm and ¾” wrenches.

Step 17: Thread a B130 street elbow onto the top right position on the heater set with the male B260A fitting. Tighten with 13mm and 11/16” wrenches until it points toward about the 7 o’clock position.

Step 18: Clean and then apply Teflon tape to a B103 street elbow. Thread the fitting into position on the top left of the heater set with the female B259A fitting. Tighten with 13mm and 11/16” wrench into about the 3:30 or 4 o’clock position.

Step 19: Clean off the threads on the 14.5” AH184 hose and apply new Teflon tape.

Step 20: Remove the brass fitting from the 10” AH106 hose. Clean the threads and apply new Teflon tape.

Step 21: Connect the AH184 hose to the B130 street elbow and the AH106 hose to the B103 street elbow as shown in the image. Use 11/16” and ¾” wrenches.

Step 22: In the unit box, move the foam from the front left side of the box to the front right side.

Step 23: Place the heater set with the AH106 hose upright in the back of the box with the heater rod openings up.

Step 24: Insert the heater rod that’s wired to switch number 4 into the heater casting on the right side. Screw in place the black and white thermostats from switch number 4 into the same casting. It doesn’t matter which side of the heating rod each thermostat is on. Do the same with the other casting and the rod and thermostats from switch number 3.

Step 25: Screw the ground wire onto the heater castings.

Step 26: Place the other heater set into the front of the box with the heater rod openings facing up and the brass fittings facing the other heater set.

Step 27: Insert the heater rod that’s wired to switch number 2 into the heater casting on the right side. Screw in place the black and white thermostats from switch number 2 into the same casting. It doesn’t matter which side of the heating rod each thermostat is on. Do the same with the other casting and the rod and thermostats from switch number 1.

Step 28: Screw the ground wire onto the heater castings.

Step 29: Connect the two heater sets together via the quick connect fittings. Lay the heaters down horizontally so the ends with the wires are up against the foam.

Step 30: Cut G017 foam to a 6” length. Set it in the box between the brass fittings and the wires.

Step 31: Take the lead hose and clean up the brass fitting. Use two ¾” wrenches to connect it though the front faceplate to the AH106 hose from the rear heater set.

Step 32: Place a washer on the AH184 hose from the front heater set and connect it to B102 quick connect fitting through the faceplate using 11/16” and ¾” wrenches.

Step 33: Place a washer on the bracket bolt and feed the bolt through the bottom of the box.

Step 34: On the inside of the box, place a washer, the bracket spacer, and another washer onto the bolt.

Step 35: Place the bracket onto the bolt and then another washer and the nut. Tighten using 7/16” wrench while holding the bolt in place on the bottom with a 7/16” socket.

Step 36: Place two G017 foam pieces on top of the heater sets. Make sure the wires rest on top of the foam when the box is closed.

Step 37: Test the unit and check for leaks before closing back up. If all is good, close up the unit using the four screws and a Phillips screwdriver.
